Lovely shots. I rate the flying fortress - very clear & spot on, and you did well with the panned shot of "Furious frankie".

And the Thunderflies......friend of mine got one behind the LCD screen in his 20D...
Exposure was a nightmare with the changing light/clouds, and now today we have good blue skys and puffy white clouds....typical eh?
Still, a cracking day. Nice set indeed...:D

Nice shots of what I would normally find a very boring subject matter. I like the props in motion, other than No. 6 which doesn't have it and is such a nice plane too: makes it look like it is hanging on a string as a result. Good job lad.

Nice shots. I was there with a few friends i was using a borrowed D70 and Bigma(Sigma50-500mm). (I normally shoot Canon but i've only a 200mm lens ;( )
I normally use a Velbon Video tripod wiyth fluid head, but had no room for it this time, so i went hand-held. I am loading the photo's from my cards as i write this, so i dunno what i have gpot yet, but i'll post a few anyway.
What lens did you use and did you use a tripod? If so what type of head?
Good shots,
Richy...

Hi Richy,
I was using a Canon 1DsMkII with a mixture of my Canon 300mm F/2.8L IS and a Canon 400mm F/5.6L.
Also had my Canon 30D with the Canon 70-200mm F/2.8L IS for the wider stuff.
Although I own both a Gitzo tripod and monopod I chose to handhold for the day..;)
I spotted some characters from the day... How about you..
A very happy official..

The first guy is always 'airside', and he always looks miserable...   But he does stop and wait if your taking a picture.
Second guy seems to be at every airshow I've ever been to.. But don't believe I saw him at Chino 2005............
