these are my first attempt at decent pictures of people and my brother was my model ..he was less than impressed!

but I thought you took too "old" of pictures. I don't know that there is anything such as age appropriate poses, but if there is - trying taking some that portray him a younger person.

His face in the last two is too dark and the poses look stiff. They are, however, a good start, and I'd encourage you to continue shooting.

I have to agree with MT about the "age appropriate" poses. There's just something about the last photo that makes me think he's a young member of the Corleone family in "The Godfather." :wink: That being said, I don't think they are bad shots. I've not tried photographing people, because I wouldn't know where to start. So, I encourage you, as Greg said, to continue shooting. It's a good start, I think.
