Anyone know what the cheapest macro slide available in UK is. I see tham on Ebay bit the postage is outrageous on almost all of them.

I would not go for a cheap one, it is probably cash down the drain. There did used to be some reasonable ones from small firms 20-25 years ago, and you might still see some advertised in the photo press. Get a geared one, ones you slide on runners does not permit fine enough adjustment for high magnification work.
If I was looking for one today I would go for Kirk or RSS.
RSS does not have an UK retail outlet AFAIK, although they will ship to the UK, you need to figure the import duty on top of the price and delivery.

Take a look in some local photography shops in your area. You may come across a good deal like I did. Purchased this one brand new for $30.00 in my local store. He had it on the shelves for years.
