These were taken at the RNAS Yeovilton Open Day on 07.07.07.

Wonderful shots, Gnasher. Two questions - was the first shot a demonstration by the RAF? And what lens did you use?

Roy, the demonstration was carried out by the Navy and the Marines. The grey helicopter is a Navy helicopter, a Lynx I think, and the green one is I think a Merlin from the Marines. All shots were taken with an inexpensive Sigma 55-200mm lens on a EOS350D.

Sorry to be a pedant - but the green one is a Sea King Mk4, also Royal Navy. The grey one is indeed a Lynx - an aircraft I am extremely familiar with!;)

All fantastic but love the last one. Kinda like a 4 headed dog, but with planes...and well in the sky
