VTOL Jet

I visited the Evergreen Air Museum in Oregon this weekend and saw this new prototype for an efficient way to incorporate VTOL in a jet. ;)

(Ok, it's really a jet with a helicopter behind it. This photo began as a little exercise in fun with perspective and then into hours of cloning away the rest of the helicopter.)

I think what you captured is the first jet powered version of a gyro copter.

Designed by committee on the theory that cars have spare tires, so A/C should have them too? :D
