Nice shots. Here are some suggestions.

Shoot lower. On a knee, sitting down or even lying on your belly. The long jump pictures are great belly shots as it can really make the kids look like they are way off the ground. Getting lower, especially with little kids, gives them a bigger look and puts you "down in the action". It also can help get a better view of their eyes as kids seem to run looking at the ground.

Thanks for the suggestions I will try it next time but we have had so much rain here in Texas that it was like a lake at the back of the long jump pit so standing was the only option at the time but I see what you are saying about how it will bring out the shot thanks.
