Had the chance to shoot my friends car last week and just finished with the PP. He wanted pix of his car under the ramp to the Throgs neck bridge here in Long island hence the blown out skys. Theyre really quickly processed so go easy lol

on 2nd thought they look nasty! the skys are all blown out too much bc of the heavy contrast bc the car was in the shade and it was really early in the morning

Clean 7th gen. I like the last rolling shot.

The shots suffer from a lot of mediocrity.
1. If its a car shoot, leave your buddy out of the drivers seat, unless its a senior portrait. And then leave the car out of it.
2. The exposure is off i each one.
3. the last rolling shot lacks sharpness.

good looking car. I have to ask... Anything under the hood?
The shots aren't bad... the car has potential, and so does the location. I'd say give it another go if you have the chance, and try at a different time of day, sun down or sun rise.

not sure of the significance of the bridge, but don't like the location. but... you gotta give the "customer" what they want.

If you are capable I would process the same image 2 different ways to try and salvage exposure for the sky and ground. Work some photoshop magic to blend them together and voila!

This is what I was able to do with the burn tool in photoshop.

...burn tool in photoshop. I hate that tool! You can level out the exposure using a selection & a Layer mask. See post #9
A question about sky (http://photography-on-the.net/forum/showthread.php?t=338140) I think I will retake the shots in a different location. Good idea! When you have the time, here's a way to use low light to reduce shadow contrast & help the car to look it's best:

Did you take these with the 30D or the P&S . Looks like the latter.
