I finally got a chance to go through some more of my photos from last month's race. All of these are taken with the Rebel XT and sigma 50-500mm from a monopod. It was a fun weekend but I was having trouble dealing with the mid-day sun reflecting off the cars. It was my second motorsports event, first with this lens and monopod.

nice stuff. good catch on the rx8 flame :). very good for first time out too.

I don't like the composition of image 6, car is (imho) not centered enough.

Rest a great crisp shots. Should be proud of them!

No CP, just a UV filter for protection.

Some shots probably look like I used one from my post processing. I was messing around with different things in photoshop trying to tame the harsh sun. IMO Some do look overprocessed from that.
