Hi everyone!
I had the chance to attend the Aurora Air Expo last weekend. A great airshow! I took over 400 pictures! A few are posted at my "just plane pictures" gallery:

Every shot looks perfect to me, and I hope that you had to crop because that is what digital & PS are all about IMHO.
I liked the P51 because last week on the US news they interviewed the son's of an 80+ WWII Vet for whom they had bought his own P51! He was taxi-ing on the apron. Beat that.
Great Shots -- almost as good as a juant to our air musem.

Thanks for the kind words, Howie!
Most of those pictures were taken with my new toy - a Canon 100-400 lens. That lens allows you to capture
images that would otherwise require a tripod. This was my first outing using it and I was very impressed. As long as it's used within it's limits, it's fantastic.
I was wondering how battery life would be (D30, Microdrive and IS), and how heavy the lens would feel after carrying it around for several hours. I took over 400 pictures and changed the battery once. The battery indicator did not go all the way down, but I wasn't going to take any chances. As far as the weight, it's a pretty beefy lens, but not overhwelming.
Glad you enjoyed the pictures!
