Managed to get one day at Wimbledon on the last Thursday of play.

No cropping no colour adjustment jpegs out of camera.

Let me know if you like!

Good work, thanks for sharing! I assume the lighting was challengeing between the rain/clouds and getting the shutter speed up. Good job.

Yes the day was very cloudy.

I shot with my 70-200mm Canon lens at F4.0 ISO 200 shutter speed around 1/800-1/1000 sec

This seemed to work well and I got about 200 shots with about 90% as keepers.

Sitting front row you could hear all the pros clicking away on every serve the noise was quite loud and must be heard by the players. There must have been at least 20 pro photographers on the court and in designated areas.

Those look great! :)
Did you find yourself wanting a bit more zoom? Like maybe 300mm or was 200mm enough?

200mm was enough but I was front row, so if you were further back then yes I think a 300mm would also be useful.

My dream lense is the sigma 120-300mm as I also shoot motorsport and 200mm aint cutting it.

Is any zoom ever enough?

Gum6Y,

This may come close. (http://www.canon-europe.com/For_Home/Product_Finder/Cameras/EF_Lenses/Fixed_Focal_Length/EF_1200mm_f56L_USM/)

See it in action (http://www.pbase.com/robert/image/67748045) or simulated action anyway...

What do you think?

Am scared now of the zoom of that and probably the price 2!

You hit the mark in #2 although a tad dark on my screen, well done there. Nadal has the sneer that has become his trademark.

I managed to find an adapter to allow me to use my fd lenses on my Canon digital so now I can use my Tamron 80-200 2.8 and tamron 300 2.8, manual focus doesn\'t bother me..get one, you\'ll love it..the best $29.95 I ever spent.
