adult coot with youngster on a pond in the wild, this coot had two young which is about average for pairs breeding in the wild, city dwellers on boating ponds etc seem to do better

Man...that's some shiny water in the first shot. I like the feel of tranquility in the second shot. Interesting angle (and perch) on the Dove captures. keep it up.

All of your pictures are very nice, but #1 has blown out highlights. If you shot in RAW mode, you can correct up to one full stop of overexposure - otherwise, you are probably stuck with loss of detail in the highlights.

Look at the histogram, and you will see quite a few pixels at 254 - 255.

i dont think the S2is take's raw shot's.

to OP this is not bad at all from the s2 with quite a bit of detail in the shot's -good focus on all of them .

Yes, I should have looked at the EXIF to see what camera was in use. Quite correct that S1 and S2 IS do not have RAW mode.
