Great shots. I like the idea of shooting after a rain. The only problem I would have is that it never rains in my location.

Great shots. Let me guess, 85mm 1.2 L?

Great isolation through depth of field. Subject is sharp as a tack.
Composition on the one at the right is better than the one on the left (which is too centered and has feet too close to the frame).

peanuthead -
The exif data says 85 mm and f/1.2

Over sharpened in PS or something?? I see a halo around part of the clothing and head like the kid was sharpened and the background was blurred after the fact.

thanks robert! these are original compositions and I agree, I could have done a bit better. I have about 15 from the series...the ones where his is positioned differently do not have the expressions that these have :( cant win them all...heck, i am lucky to win some!

thanks again for you comments!

nah, shouldnt be over sharpened...just my normal 200, 0.2, 0 for the web. there was no manipulation of the background whatsoever. this was shot at f/1.2, which will cause that effect!

These are great shots. They are cute and a little goofy. I love the DOF you used. The style of the image is awesome too. The image quality stands out the most to me. Nice work.

Really great shots!! That lens is amazing! The second picture looks better for the reasons above...not centered and showing a bit more asphalt between the feet and the frame...
