I own a Powershoot A80. It Suffers of shutter lag in rapid photography.
Is there any setting helpful to this matter (for single shot)?

This kind of lag is just going to be inherent in a consumer digicam... my S400 suffers from it quite a bit at times when there isn't very much light. Also, these kinds of cameras aren't really meant for taking rapid shots of action or anything... that's another issue.
I haven't used an A80 personally, so I don't know all of the features available on it. However, I think it should be close enough to the G3 that this link might be helpful. It was posted in another thread on these forums

Give that a shot and see how things turn out for you.

Use the manual setting.. Preset your camera for the light conditions by making settings or snapping a few photos in advance. This should minimize andy adjustments the camera has to make. There is still plenty of lag though and you will miss some shots.

Turn off Red-Eye prevention. The pre-flash slows things up quite nicely.
