anyone ever beefed up their camera? done a paint job, beefed it up with some bling bling? im just curious, heck people do it to their computer cases...what if I wanted to pimp my 300d out with a camo paint job? I mean I live in Tennessee...it only seems fair that my camera be redneck too! lol

I've seen two DRebel "mods" on this forum.. one character did paint it black.. and of course there is the firmware hack.. :)

haha, i just figured photographers are so "anal" about their equiptment...it might be some something that goes on I do not know about. Weird so few have done it...guess with camera's your warranty is more important though...

The most common modification I've seen is hidding the camera name. This won't void your warranty, and may keep the camera from getting nicked in the few seconds you leave it unattended...

Myself, the only modification I've ever done was add a eyepiece diopter to a camera that did not have that accessory. (This was really a modification to an eyecup and diopter than to the camera...)
