I have just totally revamped my website and would appreciate any feedback you may have about the photographs, layout, color design, ease of use etc. I don't yet have all the photos uploaded but thought I should get some feedback before I totally finish it. The address is:

www.studio49alaska.com

Thanks ahead of time for your comments.

I really like the color scheme and the graphics. The page did not scale well on my 19" 1280X1024 monitor, title bar was off-center, navigation panel was ok. On the front page the welcome text was underneath your beautiful logo picture. The gallery frames were great, no problem but again top title bar was off. Photos were fanstastic!

You should veiw your site on multiple monitors/ resolutions and try it with different browsers, I am using just ie7 here.

Lovely pictures, but that's a very slow host you've got there :(

APG thanks for your comments. I had the page sized so that a person viewing the webpage on a monitor that was 1024 x 768 would not have to scroll from side to side to view the website, but anyone using a higher resolution would show the off-center look. I wish I knew a way to autoscale my website.

Howard - would you mind telling me what type of internet connection you were using to view the pictures. Was it dial-up, cable, dsl? I don't want long loading times to be a turnoff. Thanks.

While that's a solid idea in theory, in practicality, I doubt many people have access to multiple monitors.

The better thing would be to add a line on the OP's home page indicating the site is best viewed with whatever resolutions it was designed for. That's frequently used on many sites for this very reason.

To the OP, nice job with your website.

My advice would be to lose the html borders around your pictures on the top. They make the site look "amateur-ish". I really like the color scheme. Very pleasing to the eye. It is impossible to make the site work in every browser out there. Here's the list of web browsers (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_web_browsers).

Not to mention, Microsoft thinks they're above the standards set forth by W3C. Sites that appear as built, using Firefox, have issues in IE.

I avoid IE unless absolutely necessary.

Karl C - thanks for the advice about putting a line in on my home page regarding the resolution. I just might try that.

Asysin2leads I was wondering if those color borders were a bit much. Thanks for the suggestion.
