People Shots

How do you go about just taking shots of people while your out and about? I would love getting started taking pictures of people but I'm not sure how to get started. I know of noone who could model for me and I'm not sure how the general public feels about someone they do not know taking pictures of them.

do a search. I'm sure there's more than a few debates on the subject. Privacy is usually the issue.

I am a photographer but also a private person and, as such, I dislike people taking pictures of me without permission.

Maybe you could approach organisations such as sports clubs and theatrical societies to ask whether they want a photographer.
