We did all sorts of things with this beautiful bride! A good friend of ours (TriCoast) we started off in the largest hotel in Galveston Texas and captured some very beautiful traditional bridal portraits in a traditional white gown. Then moved into a sexy steamy session for her soon to be hubby inside a suite hotel room and finally the bride changed into a black wedding gown and we moved into a graveyard (much like the ones in New Olreans) which is about 150 years old in Galveston.
Thought I would share a few I worked up last night when once agian I could not sleep!
Hope you enjoy!

Mike these are absolutely unbelievable!
I remember a while back, you posted a few before/after PP shots. Would you be able to do that for these? I'd love to see how they came out of the camera and see what kind of PP you did to them.
Also, do you have any "Behind the Scenes" pics? I'd love to see how you lit these!
Thanks for sharing Mike - impressed, as always!

Out of curiosity, I remember you saying that your video crew follows you and Cody around quite a bit. What do you guys do with the videos? I'd love to see some of them if they are on the web somewhere.
Have fun on the drive :)

We have some out on our product website (its got alot of bugs right now just got the site up)
www.FindingColor.com (http://www.FindingColor.com)
Other material will be coming out in time for other projects, from full sun bridal sessions to sunset sessions and everything in between!
Again check back on this post (if it has not disappeared by then) and I will post some behind the scenes and direct out of camera stuff. Only 2 actions of mine were used on the images
Storm on #2 - which is fast becoming popular with many Trash the Dress sessions the owner of Trash the Dress told me
and then TriCoast Glow which was used on all of them
95% of the work was done using the techinques in my Processing DVD which uses layer masks and other simple tools to color correct and balance and change.
Sorry sounding like an info-commerical - that is not my plan, but I hope it helps you understand what I did until I can get the images posted for you!

Mike-
Your work is AMAZING as always! I am curious to know, if you would be willing to share, do you do this type of pp to every shot you give/show to your clients? How many shots do you edit?

Here are a few behind the scene set up shots showing you how simple the lighting is. However it is a mixture of lighting power, placement of that light and the settings on a camera which gives you the final product you want.
PULLBACK and SET UP #1:
Here Cody is lying on the ground we have one assistant holding the wireless flash (yep only one light) off to the camera left and then another photographer who dropped by to say hello holding the bride's veil (yeah we put him to work) :)

Mike, will you marry me? :D
NO but you know girlfriend I am always up for a honeymoon vacation :)
I miss you girl! I wish you could fly down to Amsterdam at the end of the month to hang out with us!
Thanks for the nice words everyone else, again I am not trying to hide anything for us (TriCoast) photography in our business is a marriage between your camera settings, your flash settings and already knowing how you want to process your images. That processing can be something as simple as a little V-Pop to it or sepia tone or can really be out there with blends and other things, but we normally already have it in mind before we capture the images... (Hince why I named our product line www.findingcolor.com (http://www.findingcolor.com)) it just makes sense now your seeing our before and after images....
Thanks away for the nice words once again, anything I can do to help just let me know.

Mike, it would be great to meet - and give you some hugs (ok, I better keep this civil and professional now that I've gotten a no :D) - I really would love that!! But the end of both july and august will be *insane*, so I can't take any time off.

It was not a NO, I just don't think my girlfriend would approve :)
however since you are seperated by an ocean do all those rules still apply
And I understand how summer can be crazy with your cold winters you have to get in everything you can during those months!
We are coming back over there during the winter so many then :)

Mike, well lets try to make it a date!! Do you perhaps plan on visiting the WSPP Convention in London in early January 2008? I am planning on going to at least the trade show - not sure if I have to be a member to enjoy the speakers (one that I do want to listen to is Kevin Kubota).

Hi Mike,
Fantastic!!!! I was wondering how much pre-planning went into this shoot. Did you guys scout out this location ahead of time and then plan on shooting at this time of day? I like to know your thought process on this, and again BEUATIFUL IMAGES!!!!!!!!!

Actually zero pre-planning, we just saw the dress and said WOW we need downtown alley ways or something and even better yet a graveyard. She smiled and said, whatever you want I will do, so we went to the graveyard. It was the first time we had ever been there so we just walked around, found things to shoot and shot.
Fun to say the least, I have a TON more which gives you more the feeling of the graveyard, I will post those soon hopefully!
