Where can I get a list of the MSRP of Canon and Tamron gear at the times they were released?
I'm trying to get some prices for insurance and I can't find many receipts.

Look for online reviews, they often have the street price attached to them.

Go to the manufacturer websites. They should have MSRP listed.

For Canon, go to http://www.canon.com/camera-museum/
You'll have to convert from yen but it'll get you close enough. Not everything has an MSRP listed but it's a start.

It's kind of moot though, since you most likely didn't pay full MSRP anyway.

It's for insurance purposes.

Right. And they go by price paid and/or replacement value. Not full MSRP. Your best bet would be to just list out the stuff you have, figure out what it'd cost to replace today, and give them those values.

I am insured for replacement value on all my gear (that I do insure). I still had to provide copies of the reciepts for my purchases and then my policy states that they will pay for a median price. Hardly anyone pays MSRP. In my case they certainly wouldn't pay for this rate as I get a CPS discount in Canada.
As a side note on insurance, I didn't bother to insure anything less than 1K as after you figure in the deductible and what your rates would increase for replacing something in this price range it just wasn't worth it.
I've never seen a complete list of MSRP for any manufacturer but then again I have never gone looking for it either.

To obtain a rider on my homeowners policy for coverage of my photo gear, they did need copies of the reciepts as proof of purchase and for cost. I also gave them a spreadsheet of the items with serial numbers where applicable.
If you can recall where you got some of the gear you might be able to obtain copies of the reciepts from the vendors. For instance if you've bought gear from B&H online you can get copies of reciepts in your account. I wish they would include phone purchases in that database.
