My last post about this wedding talked about the new lighting techniques I used, but here are a few without the lights...

Jamie! These are more like it!
I really enjoyed your ones with the new lights, but I felt they were missing something.
Anyway:
1. I love the feel of this shot. Not quite completely silhouetted, but pretty darn close. Nice!
2. Cute snap - their nephew?
3. I like this, did you use the light/softbox for it? It's got a really nice nervous feel to it - was it taken before the ceremony? The WB looks a little off to me too.
4. My favorite of the bunch! I love it! *Drags to inspiration folder*
5. Cute. I like the warm look. The bride looks really happy here!
6. Love the concept but they seem too centered for me. And you cut the flag off! LOL. I would like to see a shot with this same pose, but you laying on the ground down by the rocks, shooting up ... did you happen to get a shot like that?
7. Great emotion in this photo! Super nice!
8. This shot is SO cool! It's totally a winner in my books. I love the kid sitting on the ground, pondering, the reflection, the emotion in what I'm assuming is the parent's faces. Superb! One of the best photos I've seen to date to be honest!
Again, super nice shots Jamie!

Wow, Bryan, I made you a goldmember! (I ain't sayin' he's a gold member, but he ain't messin' with no...) Thanks for the detailed feedback in both of these.
#3 is a little cool - I think I'll warm it a bit more and re-upload. Thanks for the 2nd set of eyes! That was natural light from a big picture window behind me.
#6 believe it or not, I was laying on the ground...at 17mm's (there was a small hill). Any closer and I cut off the top of the lighthouse...I have a few from there, but the top's cut off.
Ahhh - you had me worried for a bit, Tim. Glad to get the checkbox!

you know really, I think these suck.. i can't believe how much I used to look up to you.. your really no better than... a dad with a camera..
HA...these are great too...duh.. :)
I LOVE 4, and 8 is priceless. 3 is beautiful, the color still seems a bit off, but it seems kinda cool (not as in temp)..just kinda like a really soft xprocess..? that probably doesn't make sense..but I like it..
anyways, moving on...

Very nice stuff again, Jamie!
Is it just me or do you always have pretty brides?
I like how the kids look bored in 8. LOL
4 I'm not too crazy about. Decapitation pictures have always bugged me for some reason. Maybe I should get with the times because everybody seems to be doing it now. I'll bring a sword to my next wedding.
I wish I had a lighthouse to use, there isn't one for 1000 miles from here. They're cool and I like how you used it. There's a dust spot on the top of that pic though!

Thanks Lloyd. My brides are the most beautiful women in New England...and I help make sure they look that way! I love posing women in such a way that they look and feel like a supermodel - that's why I love weddings so much! Every bride deserved to be a princess on her wedding day.

This is one of the prettiest and most accessible lighthouses in MA (Scituate). I've had two weddings there so far this year. Good catch on the dust spot. I knew I was going to be closing my lenses down yesterday, so I blew the heck out of the sensors with my rocket blower before heading out, but looks like I missed a big bunny!

Lloyd, I wonder if you (or I, being in the heart of oil country) couldn't do the same kind of thing with an oil derrick? More grungy, sure, but the same kind of concept ...

Really nice shots Jamie, love 1,2 , 3, 7 & 8 in particular, number 8 is exactly the first dance sort of shot that I have been trying to capture since I started but havent managed it yet, thats really nice.
I am also not a fan of the headless shot, I can appreciate its artistic nature and its very well exposed and executed but I think the majority of non photographer people just wouldnt get it at all ...... I can almost hear their mums and dads saying "ohh look he must have put this in the proofs by accident he's completely cut their heads off" ... would be interested to hear what the clients comments about it are though.

Wow! Love the look of #3... But #7 is wonderful... great emotion! As Lloyd mentioned, you always seem to have pretty brides... How DO you do it? Super job!

Really Nice Jamie, 2 & 4 for me. #2 I just like the look of it. With the bride taking time out of busy day to assit the young boy with his tie. Nice moment. As for #4 beautifully exposed and not a shot you see every day. Nice work

Love these shots, number 8 could be from the 50's, a real opulent look and surroundings. Great job
