I kind of wrote this one off but I keep coming back to it. I'd like to see if it does anything for others. Might be worth some pp work.
Thanks

I'd crop it to a portrait, eliminating almost all of the branch and sky. I'd also try a color balance to get a more attractive sky color. Interesting perspective! (Hope you were wearing a hat!)

Just wondering was this shot in raw also?

Vegas George.. That's a good idea. I'll give it a go. I was just ready to run if the bird let anything go.
Themtkid.. Now that you mentioned it... no! I screwed up and left the camer setting on sports mode from a previous shot and sports mode doesn't save RAW.

It looks a little flat to me. Like the shot though. Any others that you got that day?

achristian,
I got a series of a snowy egret in flight. You may have seen them in my other thread down the page a bit. It's titled "1st bird in flight with 30d". Those and a few of these small bird shots are about it. I got a lot that aren't worth doing anything with..although they show nice colors because of the late evening light. Seems like about 10% or less of the total shots I take in a session are worth keeping.
Thanks
Henry
