Had an interesting day yesterday, that's for sure, but I had to focus and deliver some killer images.... despite the rain, I think I did "ok"
Some of my favourites:
#1 - Yes it's overexposed, but I like it!

I love them all..but the color of the dress looks funky in the last shot..
2,5,7 are SICK!!! (AWESOME for those not familiar with my lingo!)

Awesome!
Really digging the symmetry of 5. That's my favourite!
I love the toogy posing in 6 except the groom. He looks like the only one who's in a somewhat funny and least relaxed position.
good on you to deliver like a pro, no matter the mood.

Kathy, would it look better white? I actually added a little orange to it... I thought it looked cool! not funky! LOL, but I guess everybody has different taste right?
Grace

maybe not bright white, but not so "orange".. and its not bad...and you are exactly right..different taste! :) still love it.

I've been waiting to see these! She is so beautiful! I love her hair. Some great shots even though you weren't completely pumped up for it. #5 is soooo great, well, they all are. ;) The only thing, for me, is that her jaw/neck look a little wide in the first one, I wish you just a tad higher than her, but her eyes and hair make up for it.

These are all really good, but #5 is exceptional. #8's a favorite of mine as well. #1 is nice, but it's not the best angle for this bride. A little higher of an angle for you, with her chin down a little would have been more flattering to her chin and jawline.
ETA - looks like Jess and I were typing at the same time! Great minds...

It's funny, but you are both totally right, I think I was just focused on her eyes and the light I had right at that spot... didn't really even notice her jawline. However in #2, I do notice it does look much better shooting down on her.

WOAH! How did I miss this? Jeesh ... stupid studying!
Jeff - impressed as always.
1. I really like the exposure and the PP on this, but, like others have noted, I wish it were shot @ just at a bit of a higher angle.
2. Super shot! She looks absolutely gorgeous. Nice pose, angle, composition, etc. My only nitpick is the angle of the head. I think it would look more natural if she had moved the top of her head (i.e. changing the angle) by maybe an inch. Either way, she'll really like this shot for sure.
3. Nice ceremony shot. Lighting looks harsh - nice execution under (I'm sure) difficult conditions.
4. I actually swore out loud when I saw this. How the crap do you do these!?!? What goes through your head? Jeesh Jeff! I love this shot! Everything about it! The PP is wonderful - care to share?
5. Yup, he did it. When I saw the gates and the water there in the last shot, I was JUST thinking "damn, he better have gotten a shot of the B&G @ the bottom of the frame with that background". And, well, this shot is just how I envisioned it. Very interesting PP too, I like, I like. Share? Please :)
6. My roomies must think I'm nuts swearing to myself in my room! So unique! I love it! I'd turn up the blacks a tiny bit though.
7. Like the location and pose, but it looks like he's about to say something silly like "But" or something, I dunno, his face looks funny.
8. Interesting concept. I'm still thinking about this one. Like the PP though.
All in all - Jeff, what the heck!? You have such a natural talent at this stuff man, I totally love this series! Post some more for us! Please!

Man, I hate arriving late to a post. What can be said that hasn't already? Great shots. Love the posing (as usual.) You really have a knack for making formals more interesting than usual, Jeff. Can't wait for Albany so we can all see where these ideas come from. Great work!

Wow, stellar work, again!
It's funny how #4 reminds me of those shots where we see the same person in a multitude of poses (and sometimes with various clothing)! It must be because all the poses are different. Looks great though!
#5 must be on the main page of your website! My favorite of the set, by far!

Great stuff, excellent quality the only thing I have a minor dislike to is the boarder on your images, just a bit obtrusive but thats a personal thing...

as Bill mentioned great posing as usual ..i've noticed before that You handle groups very well ...
#1 great, simple portrait ..i don't care about little blow out on the dress and defenetly don't think there is anything wrong with the angle ...considering her pose, eye contact and fatial features there was no need for higher angle ...very natural that way
#2 i would move the frame little lower and to the right ...just a bit but besides that looks great
#3 available light rocks!
#4 great group picture ..the only thing i am not sure about are those two guys standing back to back ...they look ackward
#5 is a classic and if you add some dramatic sky it will be a killer
#6 despite Lioyd's opinion i thing that groom's pose makes this picture, he is very confident and separated from the crowed ..like it a lot
#7 the same great pose from previous picture messed up this one im my opinion...she looks just perfect, reaching out to him with her whole body ... he looks like he just did her a favour for just being there ....his fatial expresion doesn't really convey any emotion ..rather bordom
#8 he compensates for the previous one ...natural, simple,...there is something little ackward about her though...not sure ...maybe if she was looking at the camera or him
great performance all together

Jeff. I'm curious how you can put 8 shots in your 1 post. Whenever I add shots to a post, it pulls me up after 2 and says I have reached my limit. That's discrimination! :)

Love the simplicity of no. 5.
No. 6 could do with a bit of straightening though - the guy 5th from right looks like he's about to fall over.

great series, you really are very good at posing groups. i love number five, the symmetry is great, but i personally would have put the couple far off to one of the sides, and let the fence have the rest.

Jeff, quick question for you. How do you convince brides to climb onto rocks, sit in the grass etc.? Everytime I suggest things of this nature, I get a horrified look and a "But I'll get my dress dirty?" Has anyone else ever run into this?

I just ask, if they say no, I move on... or I suggest they sit on the grooms knee or something.
I never tell them what to do, I ask them if they mind sitting or lying on the grass or whatever. I usually pre-clude it with something like, "I have a cool idea, would you mind sitting on this rock...." Usually works.

I just finished editing this wedding fully, and I think it's one of the best overall weddings I've had.. I'm thinking of doing up a demo album based off this wedding, what do you guys think? Here's a few more images I liked:

Nice Jeff! I love your PP for all these photos!
As always:
9. This is a stellar shot! She looks absolutely stunning. Great angle for her.
10. Nice, nothing is really jumping out at me though. I wish you would have positioned her a little bit more to camera right and had her looking into the frame.
*SCREAMS*
Oh, yeah, number 11:
Need I say it again? I worship your group posing Jeff! The only thing I don't like about this one is the car. It seems like it was supposed to be in there, but also seems like you're trying to hide it ...
12. Super sexy shot! Wish you had got it 1/2 second earlier though, I hate the look of puckered lips LOL. Everything else works for me though. Great PP!
13. This is probably one of my favorite shots I've seen you post! It's stellar! I love his expression too LOL.
14. Not doing it for me. She looks like a zombie and I don't like her expression at all.
I definitely think you should use these photos for a sample album Jeff! Let's seem more (pleeeease).

Yes bryan there is a car there, but by the time I positioned everyone it sort of got lost back there!! it's funny I said the same thing to the bridal party as I was about to shoot... like I thought there was a car somewhere?

Very nice!!! Question please: How do you convert your images to BW? (Steps please). I'm looking for a good way to get rich blacks, etc. I have CS3, but just doing a simple conversion with the new "black and white" feature, just doesn't seem to do it. Thanks for your help. Oh, and if others have input, please offer it.

Hey Jeff,
Out of curiosity, on a shot like #11 (the group shot), what were your settings (specifically Aperture)?

Most of my group shots are at F8-F11 or so. Get good DOF without having to worry about lens diffractions and dirty a** sensors.
