I hope it is ok to post this here. I recently whent to two different weddings,both photogrphers {pros} one couple was using s2pro and nikon d2h with nikon lenes the other couple was using 10d and 300d with quantaray lens I am not shure about spelling of quantaray.I am friends of both grooms so I was able to see end results of photos.They were great,from both photographers.My ? is anyone ever seen quantaray before?

Quantaray is cheap glass from Ritz/Kits stores. I think it's made by Sigma, but I could be wrong. Quantarays are Sigma rejects. Fine for taking pictures of your dog, but not for anything close to pro or semi-pro photography. Most hobbyists won't buy them either.

thanks for info.I did do some looking into this and the quanta. len is the cheap sigma and tokina. also the one photographer has photoshopsc so he may be spending a lot of time there.I still have to say the photos were grate.

Hey you can still get great pics with cheap lenses! :D
Also a good photographer can make up for alot of faults they have-and just about ANY lens looks awsome with abit of fill flash(where that's possible)

Generally speaking, they're worse than regular consumer lenses, but if you shoot at f/8 or smaller, any lens will perform quite well.
