This is my first Bird in Flight. A simple gull, but HOT DAMN! I did it and with these old eyes, bad reflexes and simple mind!

Yes! But for you they just hover there and follow your directions. . . right? At least yours look that way.

Thank you Steve! Actually this was the 7th or 8th in a series and they all were what looked sharp to me at 100% or more. So far I have not had occasions to see the Mark3 problems people have been talking about.

I did shoot some planes taking off and landing and they were equally sharp as well. A companion said that that was not really a focussing test since planes are so much larger than birds. But they take up the same percentage of the viewfinder and they are moving faster. I agree that they follow a predictable path (hopefully) but so do runners which are what the complaints are based on.

Actually Don Eagles are easier to shoot they are bigger and generally fly in straight lines. Nice shot Don and Congrats
