430ex vs 580ex

which should I get? budget is limited...

1. 430ex + tamron 17-50mm 2.8

2. 580ex I/II

So basically if i get the 430ex I could save the extra $150-200 for the tamron... and I could get both faster...

if I buy the 580ex I/II... It would take longer to get the tamron...

Ok... I need it for low light situation indoor... and fill flash outdoor... As of now I only have the 28-135mm (slow) and the 50mm 1.8 (not wide enough)... So I would want to use the 28-135 indoor because it's wider... but slower... flash would stop movement and light up the scene...

I would also plan, later on, to use the flash of the camera... and would eventually get 2 speedlights or more...

well for it sounds either will work, but the 430 cannot control other speedlites. you must use a 5 series or the st-e2 if you use 4 series off camera. so you need to think about the future when you choose
