View Full Version : Batch Conversion in PS Elements - Help Please

For some reason, I am unable to convert jpegs to tiff in Elements. It goes through the conversion process, etc, but when I look in the Elements browser, the images still show as jpeg. However, I am able to convert successfully in Irfanview and Paintshop Pro. Is there a trick I'm missing in Elements? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If I remember correctly, you should be able to go to File>Save As & select TIF from the Format: box.

This is maybe too obvious, but are you sure you're really saving them to the folder that you're looking for them in? :wink:

Yes, I'm sure because when I perform the batch conversion in PSP 8.0 I will get all my jpeg files converted to tiff in the selected folder. For some reason, this just doesn't work with the File>Batch Processing command in Elements. Like I said above, when I try this, Elements goes through the conversion process, but all my pics still show as .jpeg files, not .tif. I can go under File>Save As> .tif and that works but I want to convert all my files at once. Thanks for your reply.
