Apparently, Cuitlacoche is an Aztec word for 'Raven's excrement"
I believe it. You know what's weird, i heard the term 'corn smut' for the first time yesterday, and now I'm looking at a picture of it today.
Coincidence?? No I think your search brought all of this on in an ESP kinda way.
*shiver*
:)
he's got ya now huh?
I used to fly fish, but fish only when doing other outdoor pursuits. I don't head out just for fishing much any more, so I have given up on the fly fishing and tend to just do spin casting and a bit of trolling. I usually go fishing off the shores or jetties myself...no boat for me yet. I've rented a john boat before...won't again.
[BearLeeAlive]And no Robert, no spankies for you. :p
Maybe one of the girls would be of assistance.[/quote]

So did you eat it?

So did you eat it?negative. I wasn't here when it happened, but he took a photo for me. No one ate it - I think they just stared at it a lot and talked about how gross it was. lol It didn't affect the whole crop (he has a small garden).

Ok I am going to risk it again (having just recovered from the ribbing it took for admitting to liking John Prine)
Have any of you listened to Richard Hawley (used to be backing vocals and guitar in Pulp) Two Albums:- Coles Corner and Lady's Bridge.
I recommend them both to you.

My Dad had that happen to one of his corn a few years ago - it's NASTY looking.
I remember a long time ago when I was a kid, we had a few rows of corn stalks growing behind our yard (in the easement area between our yard and a soybean field...) We'd get lots of wonderful fresh corn, then it happened. The mutant ear, as we called it. We didn't know what caused it, and we didn't know what it was, but the corn kernels were all huge and puffy, gray and black, and the smell... Ohhhh the smell. Horrid stuff.. surprised the heck out of me to see it canned and ready to eat.

Then there was the "white" wine. This one's aroma was slightly more earthy. Do you know that smell of grass right after it's cut? That's nice. I was just making chit-chat, because this smelled like xxxxx(nastiness, not appropriate here).
I really don't understand what could have gone wrong! I used moldy bread and socks, EXACTLY LIKE THE RECIPE SAID!

When I was young I always had the same dream when I was sick. It was always dreaming of playing with gigantic rubber wheels, passing them back and forth between me and my siblings or cousins. The dream was wierd and surreal...always left me feeling like I was floating around the room. It could have been the medication though:rolleyes:.

Seems old people don't like kids. Who knew...
If my kids aren't allowed on the sidewalk, then they can drive on the grass. So says I. I let them drive their bikes up the hill in the back yard too - the same one they slide down on with cardboard sleds. ;) So far no complaints lodged, but I know if I lived here full time I'd end up fined for sure... The mother is now under pressure from the police to confess. They're basically offering her a deal if she says she killed Maddy accidentally.... The Portuguese police has a policy of silence during their investigations, which has only poured fuel on any speculations.

Hey Neil, I have a hat like that, though mine is a bit more beat up on top, and don't look quite so good underneath either.
She really is a beauty Neil. Naturally so.
Is it nap time yet?past already. After reading time I turned PBS on for the kids and caught a 1/2 hour nap on the love seat! :)
Are you guys following the Maddy McCann case over there? It's all getting very strange...yes - freaky. I was really POd from the get go about the case, but had to keep my mouth shut because no one seemed to agree (except Mike) with me that they were WRONG for leaving kids in a hotel to go to dinner... (going to stop now because I don't want to end up in a full rant.)

Beth - that camera is beautiful.
At a wedding I shot once, one of the bridesmaids pulled out a rollei during the posed shots after the wedding. Both the other photographer and I couldn't keep our eyes off it. It was so lovely. It was also a rather large distraction for us. lol

It really is a pretty camera. Searching around... looks like they might be able to get $150 or $200 for it. I think I'm going to post most of the shots here first and ask folks what they think the pieces are worth or, at least, get some sort of general idea.

On our last vacation I left Allie in the condo alone (behind locked doors) for a few minutes while I went down to get the laundry out of the dryer (in the middle of the day). My travel-mate, Lana, was on her way back from an errand and I knew she would be back in a matter of minutes. I think it upset Lana because later that day she brought up the Maddy case. So I've always sort of wondered if I did the wrong thing. Its so easy to feel safe in beautiful, friendly locale, but I suppose something could have happened.

I'm setting up some lightbox shots for a bunch of old Disneyland mementos I found in a scrapbook during my move. Maybe I'll take my nap after that's done...

Cool. I'll look at what they have to offer. I found a few language courses on CD the other day, too. I'm thinking of picking up the Spanish one.

I guess because we travel so much and often to countries where very, very bad things happen to children, I always drag my kids along. They have to come with me for the most boring and annoying tasks. Poor things... they hate errands. ;)

G'MAE all.
Pardon the selected quotes - been too far behind to add much meaningful stuff. Thankfully Zane and Terri have multiquoted for me. One day when I can't get on much and I have over 20 pages (at 25p posts per page) to catch up. I've been behind ever since, right up to now.
Great pictures as I was reading!
Love the TR's, Dan. Can't wait to see what the bulls and Jim get up to once they leave the plane!
And as to all the gross food *ewwwwww* I'm glad I had dinner a long time ago.
Vader is not allowed on my desk. (That doesn't stop him from trying. Over and over and over and over)
So this is his new favorite spot to sit and watch me. My little bookshelf right next to my desk.
I just snapped this with my Olympus.
I must admit I spent a while reading the titles of the books. Can I borrow a couple? ;)
Crissa sorry for your terrible treatment.
...
Sorry for the rant but that is how I feel.
Great rant, Zane.
http://www.mundogasol.com/foro/clap.gif Well said Zane.
Crissa, don't let what that a-hole said get to you. They don't know the circumstances that forced you to make your decision, therefore they have no clue what they're talking about.

There's nothing wrong with Haggis. It's just urban folklore that fills it with such rubbish. There's probably more disgusting stuff in a Cornish Pasty!!
Hey - don't you go dissin' the Cornish Pasty. It's all good stuff in there. Meat, potato and veg. Well unless you buy some of the mass produced stuff that we normally don't even admit comes from Cornwall.
Or a Big Mac.
Don't even mention one of those on the same page as a Cornish Pasty!!!! >:(

The only two real complaints I see are that it isn't good in low light and the LCD screen is a little hard to see.
The low light argument can be made for many cameras. As for the LCD, you kind of have to expect that from a 0.9" screen. It would have been nice if one of the reviewers actually mentioned what the camera's image quality was like. That's what's really most important.

Oh, yeah. Those ticket books are probably worth quite a bit, especially since there are "E" tickets still in them! Those are pretty rare, compared to the other denominations. I was very surprised to find I had so many of them left over.

I just checked the weather for Yellowstone - lows 30 F chance of snow mixed with rain...think we may rethink the camping gig. Dang and I just bought a new air bed...might need to do a return tomorrow.
Around freezing point is the best time to be sleeping in a tent, tucked inside your nice cozy sleeping bag with that cool air on your face.
This is the forecast for the next week for where we are headed, not too bad at all. We will arrive next Friday CLICK (http://www.theweathernetwork.com/weather/cabc0244/)
Regular air mattresses and air beds are not good in the cold, especially on cold ground as they have little insulation. We use a down filled air mattress designed for back country use. They are pricey, but the comfort and warmth are well worth it.
