Good night stress girl, try to chill. I would suggest moderate amounts of dark chocolate with an herbal tea. Maybe a chamomile, spearmint, lemon kind of deal.trying to chill...trying to chill...trying to chill...

He is home and fine, they found no cardiac issues and sent him on his merry way! Thanks for asking.Yay! Great News Crissa. :)

Do you download them from itunes? Initially I did, but I quickly found audible.com, which is a much better deal.

Wonder if Jamie will discover we're all Black?I literally lol at this one, and I rarely do that.

I went online shopping. That is never good.;) I'm glad the server went up before I maxed out my retirement plan.I did some long needed modifications on my forum use website. Won't look different if you check it, but it's more efficient now. ;)

How's about this then?

Why not use your whole 30 days of FREE? Current value of money and all that... ;)Oh I'm gonna. ;) But I only have 15 days left, and we are going to be out of town when it expires. I've used LR exclusively for my last job, and I'm nervous about losing any of it. So, I'm getting all my ducks in a row now so to speak, so I'm ready to jump when I have to. It's that darn OCD thing.

I don't think you'll lose anything. When you return from your trip and open it, it will likely tell you that your trial period has expired and offer you a button to click to buy your copy. :)

Man this new server is SO cool! I'm all over the place and back again in no time.

Tell me about it - I can't keep up with you, miss chatty fingers ;)

Mike is the hamster, Mark is the sandy building or whatever it is

edit: i think

You mean this one, Wanda?

http://newquay-plus.co.uk/POTN/WWPD/2006-10-29_Huers.jpg

It's a local landmark. It was a hermitage dating from the 1100's and used by the local fishing community in Newquay in the 1800's. The 'Huer' would watch out over the bar for the shoals of pilchards, alert the fishermen when he saw them by raising a 'hue and cry' and then direct the boats to the shoals.

It's now a Grade II listed building which means it has to be maintained as it is of historic importance.

Pekka must have changed how it works, then. He explained a while ago that even junior members were fed ads. I can't remember how long ago it was that I saw him mention that. Could have been a year or two...

I think I saw ads until post 100, then they disappeared.

I just noticed Cat's username on the list, it has a + next to it for some reason:
cfpackerfan (http://75.126.234.18/forum/member.php?u=59746)+,

I wonder why?

It means you've added her to your "Friends" list...

Edit: Oops. It's called a "Buddy" list here.

I saw that for the first time today. Wonder if it's an option that's been enabled on the new server?

man this server is too fast, i bet catching up is going to be one pain in the @$$

Smooth as silk.

The moniter in my office looks great. The two on the sales desks are not the same as in my office. The both look a ton better as well. The one of them that I am using at the moment is a bit dark, though.

Not much reading to it. Although I read everything through before I did anything and then read step by step because I wanted to do it right. I can't wait to get home and put it on my good moniter. That will tell the tell for me.

Wonder if Jamie will discover we're all Black? You crack me up Wanda

G'mae everyone.
Zane, I have a question for you. We were thinking of shooting a rodeo next week and haven't a clue what lens to use. Which do you recommend? I use my 70-200 f/2.8 because it is at night ,the action is fast, and the stadium lights suck. You may do much better than me with that low light MKIII so you could do 100-400 which I think you have. I guess it depends how close you are but I would suggest at least the 70-200 range. Your best shots will be from against the rails where you can put the camera through the fence or up in the stands where you can shoot over the fence. There are two shots that look good imo. The tight crop of the cowboy and bull, but better I think, is the shot where you get the rider, bull fighters(rodeo clowns) and the other cowboys watching the ride. They always have very animated expressions and the fighters are always in an action type pose. Your camera should be great I am jealous. Keep in mind you may want a wider lens for crowd, atmosphere type shots as well as the cowboys warming up and getting ready. I rarely sit but wander and shoot from the rail instead.

:Zane isn't here yet today. :? Maybe he got lost on his way to the new server. Did someone leave him directions? I found it:D

well considering that there are no ads on POTN, Pekka hosts this site out of his pocket? Yes he does, cough up a few of your hard earned dollars and donate. Where else can you have this much fun? The link is in my siggy

What the frig is that? Google it great shots out there

She pees in her dress?? You are a really funny Wanda

Yup!! Anyone else want Brit candy bags?Yes I do!!

Wow, I once got two speeding tickets 12 minutes apart. In different counties, too! :D:cool:Lets not talk driving records. I stole two different neighbors cars before I was 16 and damaged them both so my parents would not sign for me to get a license when I was 16. As a result I was arrested 4 times for driving without a license before I was 18. I have wrecked 10 times on motorcycles twice with Leyla on board. My current status is I have so many tickets my insurance dropped me and I have state insurance to the tune of $3300 a year although I just got a notice they will renew at $1200 for next year. I have slowed down a bit in my maturity of the last 6 months.

Mine was an ugly orange 1979 hatchback with a "wimpy" 2.6 liter (if I'm remembering correctly) v6. I had a long love/hate relationship with that car...Gaaa! not a mustang II??? I seriously doubt you hit 160 but I imagine you were flying if you pegged the speedo.

My tolerance has gone WAYYYYYYYYY down from where it was a few years ago. lolsame here. I was quite the fish in university and now I think the term is "cheap date".

Athena how goes the calibrating? It's a done deal. The change is almost not even noticeable, but I knew my laptop monitor was pretty much right... It's the desktop that will be interesting. I may send the Spyder back to Thailand with Mike since I don't really need it here now.

Anyone else not have a time in the bar with the post number?...huh?!?

Opera was fabulous... Nabucco...outside... gentle breeze... My first outdoor opera...much easier to watch then inside an opera huse... took my son along... he spent most of the time playing brickbreaker on my blackberry looking up when the music got load or here way an explosion or lots of fire!
Made him concentrate on the slave chorus though... stunning - bought tears to my eyes.

I've gone 135 before in my own car. I was alone on a deserted straight stretch of highway. it was QUITE fun. The car was smooth as can be. I'll never do it again though.

I once was pulled over for speeding on the I-5 in Northern California. I think I was doing about 65 or so (this was in 1981, when the federal speed limit was still 55). If the cop had found me just ten minutes earlier, I would have spent some time in jail. Just before he nailed me, I had decided to open my Mustang up and see what it could do. I have no idea how fast I was going since the speedometer topped out at 120, but I'm guessing I had that thing up to about 150 or 160...

I'd rather have one of my omelets over pancakes any day!

I also prefer omelets! With everything but the kitchen sink in 'em.

Lets not talk driving records.

I saw that for the first time today. Wonder if it's an option that's been enabled on the new server?

Nope. The Buddy List option has been around for years. That ain't nothin' new.

Gaaa! not a mustang II??? I seriously doubt you hit 160 but I imagine you were flying if you pegged the speedo.

I don't think it was a Mustang II. That definitely doesn't sound familiar to me. And, I did more than just peg the speedo. The needle went right past 120 and all the way back up to 20 again.

Speaking of desktop monitors... The blue tint in the lower left corner on this one moved to the lower right corner for a while yesterday. Now the tint is gone, but the display is starting get slightly crooked. It's tilting to the left now. I've never seen a monitor die quite like this before...

Many many moons ago at work when green screen terminals ruled the landscape, we had one user whose terminal was dying. He called us on Friday, about 20 minutes before we closed up shop for the weekend. The horizontal control for the terminal was going out and about the first 5 or 6 characters were skewed waay to the left and they weren't displaying.

The tech who took the call managed to convince the user that there was something amiss with the phosphors in the screen, and that was causing the letters to bunch up on that side of the screen.

"Oh, you mean like a level?" said the user. "Yes, exactly. What I need you to do is turn the terminal off and tip it onto its left side for a few minutes."
The user does this and reports that it seemed to have helped.

"Well then, I'll need you to elevate the left side side of the monitor. By Monday the phosphors ought to have sunk back down and it should be fixed."

Come Monday, the user had a 2-inch stack of paper towels under the monitor to help the phosphors slide back downhill.

The tech did replace the terminal mid-morning after configuring a new one.

Your motives were noble Maxy and I am not opposed to lethal wildlife management. My blunt point was the general fear and misinformation about "dangerous" animals is is just that, misinformation. Cottonmouths are "aggressive" snakes but in general are obvious of their intentions they don't stalk people. How many people were bit let alone died from moccasins in the last year? I bet they were all trying to catch and kill them. Don't get me wrong I just think next time you could shoo them away with a stick and teach the little ones of their importance in the eco system as well as their danger.
