a SURCHARGE on postal shipping. http://lifeprintsphotography.com/graphics/smiles/tickedoff.gif I refuse to pay that. I am going to take them to the post office (where IS that? lol) instead. :D

Post office. Don't talk to me about the post office. Bring a light snack, and a decent quantity of water. May also think about bringing some basic camping equipment. You'll be there for a while.

looks clear to me....my pictures must look like crap on your computer:lol:

Hey are we really going to avoid the century mark today? I know the dif between 98 and 102 isn't all that great in reality, but. . . I need air conditioned clothes- or at least an air conditioned truck!

Athena what annoys me about UPS is the "rural" surcharge- even when a town has a shipping/receiving center (like I'm-poor-ia). I need to go to the PO but may wait til tomorrow when it should be even cooler.

Ah, now river swimming is a completely different animal. End of August is prime river time. Lots of rivers to choose from, and every town seems to have its own special swimmin' hole somewhere along the river. Rope swings galore! Drifting down the river on an inner tube trailing a cooler of your favorite bev. Love it.
Ah memories <fades back in time>
Jamie-->walking to psych class
David--> drives up with canoe on top of celica roof with John in tow "lets go"
Jamie --> " I have a class"
David --> "go Monday, you can skip this one"
Jamie --> calculating how many of the 17 days that could be missed and not fail left *thinks 5* "ok pick me up at the dorm so I can change shorts"
Friends, Canoe, Tubes, Beer, and the creek - don't get much better.
* strolls into room, pretends bed head is stylish*

I'm fairly certain you could hand wash them with a mild detergent. I'd use dish detergent probably, or shampoo. Either will get the smell and body oils out. Hang it to dry out of the sun. Be sure to get all the soap out or the foam will disintergrate.

Yep. It's bad when an evening walk feels like an oven. But, hey! We had plenty of rain during most of the summer, a couple weeks of 100+ temps isn't all that bad. :)

How long have you been in the Dallas area? I seem to remember a couple months ago some mention of moving. This summer isn't typical, it's usually hot and dry, like this last week.

My mother is a cleaning fanatic. She knows 50 ways to clean everything. She had all these "Heloise Around the House" books. Nothing at our house ever got thrown away or replaced because she knew how to clean it or repair it.

I don't mind man-hugs from a good close friend. The kind that mean "You're my buddy. Love you, man".

However, getting hugged by someone who once threw himself on the TF wearing barely more than a towel is something I would resist most strenuously...

hey - no hair color jokes allowed!
All jokes are allowed, as long as they are just that, jokes. Short hair, gray hair or messy hair, all are fine. I do like my new shade of 'silver' I am acquiring.
I don't mind man-hugs from a good close friend. The kind that mean "You're my buddy. Love you, man".

However, getting hugged by someone who once threw himself on the TF wearing barely more than a towel is something I would resist most strenuously...
Yup, what Pete said.
This reminds me... I was thinking the other day that we should have TPBM Chatters' Photo and Bio thread. We could all do a post putting whatever bio and/or photos we want to share with newbies. Then when a newbie starts asking for personal info and photos that we have shared 50 times already, we could link them to our thread or individual post.
Not a bad idea.

I am using white tape with black print, I got a second set of tape that is white with red ink.

We had a bunch of formica cabinets donated recently, they are very nice and hide things in our work area very nicely. The problem is they all look alike and we aren't used to who put what where. So now I can label all the cabinets and we can stay organized.
