My grandmother still had coal black hair when she was in her 60s and finally got substantial greys when she was near 80-- still more pepper than salt, though

I like the salt and peppered look too and have been waiting FOREVER for it to happen. I even refuse to do fun dye stuff to my hair cause I want to see it occur. I think I have about 15 "salt" hairs. :confused: I'm tired of waiting.

My hair is getting lighter according to a long time friend. . . no longer coffee bean/black so maybe my "salt" is coming in saffron and brown. :evil: No fair!

Now with that said and everyone well confused; I did have a customer in Ft. Payne (which I did refer to "as close to Kentucky and you can get in Alabama and was not speaking geographically) who's father and grandfather was the same person. Think that one through. Many many years ago, when I was 23
I was married to a widow, who was purty as could be

A bit backlit, so there's some ghosting. I'll have to try this again when it's a bit darker outside, with incandescent light and a gelled flash.

I like 'em both, Lisa, but then I'm a big fan of the Dragan effect. If I *had* to chose... I'd go with the sepia version of this one, but I can't really articulate why. I *do* find the background around his head a little distacting... kinda busy.

Oh. I was trying a technique with flash, and leaving the shutter open for a bit longer. The results were interesting, but the light from the windows kinda blasted through the flash-lit swing.

Mike, neat videos. I worked for over 13 years in the Power Industry, mainly building and maintaining electrical substations. I have witnessed a few of those faults. Even more impressive than the arc is the loud noise they make, a real lout BRAAAAAT kinda sound, quite deafening if you are close.

It really shows, huh? I'll bet... I'm so much happier right now than I've been in a very long time. Ashley is, too. She's been in quite a funk herself for the past month or two, just moping around with her tail between her legs. But, since I brought her here to the new place yesterday, she hasn't stopped dancing. Makes me feel a whole lot better.

I'm still quite a few pages behind and will have more replies to make when I'm back online with a real computer and can multiquote. In the meantime... Today's update:

I spent all morning shopping. I picked up a new refrigerator, a large metal frame futon that serves as a couch and opens up into a full-sized bed, and a small four-seat dinette set. While shopping for the fridge, I decided on the spur of the moment to really treat myself. I've been getting by with a 20+ year old 19" tv since it was brand new. No more... Today, I bought a 32" Sony hi-def lcd tv with 1080 pixels of resolution and a 8000:1 contrast ratio. This was small enough to fit in my car, so I have it home already. Everything else is scheduled for delivery tomorrow.

Now, I'm going to put the tv stand together, set up the tv, plug in the dvd player, and watch Cars, before I go to bed... :D

I'll call the cable company in the morning to set an appointment to get the cable tv and Internet set up. Hopefully I'll be back online soon... See y'all...

So much for relaxing. We got there in time to shoot the 2nd act, then they re-ran the first act. Now I have to go down and select a few shots to post so they have something to see for ording CD's.:rolleyes: As they only have 2 shows, we have Aiden, no way are we going to be able to PP a few hundred shots and have CD's burned for the cast part on Sunday.

Now I have to pull another long day. I usually don't have to work on Fridays, but my assistant who usually does work Fri's is out of town, so it's up to me. I'm totally bummed. :evil:
