Here are a couple of shots from yesterday. This is the vacant field across the street from where I work pretty much in the heart of the south Denver Technical Center Area.

Both are good but I like the second one for having the slightly oldschool (at least to my mind - city boy) hay bales contrasted with the newer looking buildings in the background...

Both are nice but I like #1 the best, bales of hay make me think of old time farming.

Thanks Jim, I liked the contrast between the satellite uplink dishes and the hay bales. :)

Thanks for looking athomefun!

Hmm - you don't shoot for Microsoft do you? These look strangely familiar :-)

Nice shots. I prefer the first one without the buildings.

Thanks Steven, much appreciated. I hope I can get a few more shots here before the haul these off, these are good but not everything I was hoping from this location.

First time I've seen you post an image though!

Nice shots, I like the first though because of the composition and the sense of isolation. The second gives it away that it isn't that isolated!

I also love the scene because it epitomises the US interior for me.

Which lens by the way, great colour and contrast.

Thanks George, much appreciated, I've been kidnapped the last few weeks by the bird forum, but am getting a bit sick of chasing them around and only getting blurry kingfisher photos. :) This is more my "home" forum in many ways. Trying to get back to doing more landscapes and so thought that more appropriate for a X000 post than a bird. :)

These were with the 24-105L

First one is on a tripod, second is handheld (actually taken in reverse order).

I like the first one, too, Kenny (although they are both very nice). Something about the very simple two color scheme in the first one really appeals to me. Love it!

And congrats on your 7000th post! :)

Thanks Becca. A office mate of mine suggested B&W on that one which I'd not really thought of, may give it a try.

Thanks for looking and commenting!

I like the first one Kenny. I agree along with curiousgeorge. MARK III is awesome, eh?

Thanks for looking jdizzle, much appreciated. I'm really just beginning to explore landscapes with the Mk III definitely a learning curve with the devil in the details. :) Hopefully more better to come.
