I'd be interested in knowing whether it would be worth it, given the hefty difference in price? On the face of it, it seems that there is not that much difference between the two.

You will get the same results from either. There are advantages. The site offers side by side comparison of the features. Only you can be the judge if those features are worth the extra money to you.

Also consider the SE version, which will give you more features than LE but not all the bells and whistles of Pro.

Most get the Pro version only to give them the added cameras supported... there are other advantages of course.. but that is the biggy.

To clarify, the less-expensive C1 SE version supports the same Canon cameras as Pro, including 1Ds and 1DMkII.

Hrmmm.. just looked at Phase One's comparison here;

And in that PDF C1 LE does NOT support any of the "1" Cameras?
Slej,. you mentioned the SE version.. which does... but Artinmoshun's post asked about LE Vs. Pro.. so my answer was accurate.. as well.

Accurate shmaccurate. :lol:
Yeah you're right. I was just pointing it out to possibly save you (or anyone else) some money, if "1" camera support is the prime reason you are considering an upgrade to Pro. Even on the P1 support forum, many people seem unaware of the SE version's features. P1 really needs to get their product differentiation nailed down. Some bug fixes would be nice too ...
Also don't forget that not only is there an initial cost difference, but future Pro-to-Pro product updates will cost more too.

lol,..
well it was the cost of the Pro version that has kept me from "re-investing" in C1 since I got the MkII... (had LE for the 10D..)
So.. now that you mention it.. I'm signing up fopr "SE" :)
Thanks!!!
