how can use a circular polarizer filter with a digital camera?
I have an A70 with lens tube 52mm canon

The circular (or linear if you want, both will work fine) polarizer screws into the lens tube. You turn the filters front ring to cut down reflections or darken the sky.
The polarizer will not ALWAYS work. Such as the sky will not darken if you are shooting towards the sun, and reflections off metal will still remain...
You can watch results off the LCD of the digital camera to get the best angle on the filter.

Yes, while watching the results on the LCD, turn the filter for optimum results as you see fit. Then press the button down a bit to lock focus and exposure, then all the way for taking the picture.

You may find a little green cast to the photos. I did when I got my polarizer. I suggest you use the color balance in the camera to correct this. Check the manual. You can either use a custom balance on a white card or correct to sunshine.
