I had my first studio session yesterday. Stupid my forget that my camera was set on jpeg so I have some funky skin colors. C&C highly welcome.

Hmm, I wonder what's wrong with jpeg setting ? you could not adjust the skin tone later or something ?

I thought I could by using LightRoom, but I it came out looking worse.

One real quick trick to try is to drop the B&W one behind the original colour version. Change the blending mode to screen on the B&W version and adjust the Opacity down to around 20-30%.

Does Lightroom let you 'prefer' ACR for jpg? If so you can correct white balance/temp in ACR for your jpg images. CS3 allows that.
Good image, pretty lady. Color is just funky.

No rules I know of except to make sure it's not visible in the final product. It does tend to alter colors....but not in B&W.
