airfrogusmc, this is a great shot. Love the saturation of the colors.
Have you tried a b&w version? Bet it'd look incredible....ghost town type.

Hey Zip this is a scan from a 2 1/4 trans and theres detail there in the trans and the prints I made from the scans but its getting a little lost on my monitor too. No interior shots.

I wanted to add there were these thin clouds with a pinkish early morning kind cast to them and were almost off the top end of the scale. Theres info there just not much. Had to put the sky almost 3 stops up from zone 5 or I would have lost the detail in the front of smelter. Actually I think the subtle sky works very well by not competing with all thats going on in the rest of the image.

I agree on the subtle sky thing, I just noticed that it was blue around the periphery, and then blown out white near the building. Either way, I love the red building, regardless...:D
