Hello Everyone!
Can anyone recommend a good computer program that will allow me to burn my pictures to DVD. I have PhotoShop Elements 5, but that only allows burning to CD to view on my tv. I've read that the quality of the photos is better when burned to DVD vs. CD
I saw a bunch of different programs at Best Buy but am unsure of which one is a good one.
Thank you very, very much for any recommendations anyone can share!
Thank You!

There will be no difference in picture quality between saving to a CD or DVD. DVDs will let you save more files but that is all. It in no way changes how a given file is displayed, its just data on a disc.
You burner will have come with some software, probably Nero or EasyCD or similar. Just use that, no point in buying anything else.
It's possible that the fact that you are only being allowed to burn CDs means you only have a CD burner. The most common drive types are CD-ROM (cd reader), CD-RW (CD burner), Combo drive (burns CDs, reads DVDs) and DVD-RW (CD and DVD reader and burner). Make sure yours says it will actually burn DVDs on the front of the drive.

Nero 7 (http://www.pcmicrostore.com/PartDetail.aspx?q=p:1037409&kbid=1237) is what i use and found great reviews from many websites. It allows you to create a photo DVD with background music when viewing on TV, plus many more features.

I didn't know the image quality would be the same between a CD or a DVD. If that's the case, Photoshop Elements 5 does a great job!
Thanks Everyone!

TOAST is the best. CDs and DVDs are no different, but some are less reliable than others. Always verify after burning.

are you making a 'photo cd'? That might resize photos in which case you want to use an app that doesn't resize.

In making a disc for viewing on your TV, the TV will be the limiting factor for quality. They're really pretty low resolution devices - around 640x480 (depending on your locality).
