I got the cam about 3 weeks ago, and haven't put it down since.

To tell you the truth I either shoot in night mode or auto most all of the time, and haven't really gotten used to the functions... I've done dragstrip day/night shoots, car shows (indoor and outdoor)...

I really have problems shooting moving objects at night, so any help there would be appreciated. I'm posting a couple of pics from the indoor show (very very poor lighting) and one from a daytime/nighttime show. (late evening-night)

Any clues as to things I should try on this camera for different type shots, or things I should not do for moving shots would be greatly appreciated.

I feel like I could have done something better to bring the lighting to the girls faces and features here, but was pleased with the way the car and tire off to the side came out... But really, is anyone looking at anything other than the two noticeable objects?
Night mode no flash, 1024x768, so it has been shrunk. At superfine.

Outdoor show low light outside, shot at 1024x768 at superfine in "P" mode as a onlooker passed by.

Maybe you just need a bit more experience and a photoeditor? I only spent about 1/2 hour on this & it doesn't look too terrible to me!

Yeah, I know, but I'm not going to spend more time on a low res pic.

The one with the girls needs some fill flash.

I am getting to grips with manual settings myself. It's worth the time

The outdoor shot is good.
But the indoor shot is little bit under expose.

Thanks Rick! About half of the shots in the links below were taken in crappy lighting at auto shows. Just getting rid of the background makes a big difference.
