Thought Id post a shot or two from Country Thunder of Carrie Underwood. Gotta love the Media Pass for close up shots. C&C welcome. Back today shooting more artists, so next week I should have more to post. Canon 20D, 100-400 L IS, and 580EX flash.

Better then the last series, but still: Loose the flash, or be more subtle about it.

undoubtedly good photos, but you do lose the atmosphere with the flash.

being that it was the 100-400L IS, I assume flash was a "must". I like the second shot, and I agree, she's a very good performer.

Flash definitely over-does it. Good shots though. Any PP done to these? If not, I might suggest increasing saturation on the first one to bring some regular skintone back in.

Flash is not technically neccesary. I've shot with my 70-200 @ F7-10 for sharpness and the shutter was still set fast with a decent ISO level.

Never the less, very nice. I get to see the other rising country star, Gretchen Wilson, Sept 2. Can't wait and hopefully with a 100-400 by then.

Geez, I didn't notice the flash ... that's the way the spotlights at my venue make everyone look! She's a cute thing but I think Brandon is too young to marry!
