I bought a 35mm 1.4 yesterday and tested it out at this show. I only have the 50mm 1.8 to compare it to... so ya, WOW! I'm sure you all know about it.

I'd love to hear some C&C on this so blast away. I've got no excuses now!

#1 Just playing around, it was their cd release party.

#2 More depth of field play.

#3 The stage. Nice lighting, not the best but good enough.

#4 is nice.
I would have preferred the focus on the singer in #3, and in #5 and 7 on the face...
As you can see, a 35/1.4 can give too little DoF ;)

Thanks guys.

It's the first time I've noticed a difference in sharpness by resizing. I still have to come up with a PP routine to retain the detail.

I'm sure you guys can imagine my excitement over this lens after only using the 50mm 1.8. :)

There is a link to Manyk SRS in the Faq. Give that a try. (It does tend to bring out noise a bit)

You are the man! I tried that action. Much better. Funny I never noticed that problem with my other lenses.

Do they look any better on your end? I had a quick look at your clour management post... I've got some homework to do.

Kinda hard to compare with different images / image sizes ;)
Some still look like the focus isn't where I'ld want it, but what is sharp, looks sharp...
