Controversial. The second to last one I think leans to the right and the one before it leans to the left. Nothing wrong with the composition of the photos from a technical aspect. The location.. Well I guess art is open to each persons own interpretation.

1&2 are a little blown.
3 is a little flat looking
4 is a nice pose but the color doesn't work for me
5 is the better of 5,6 & 7 pose is good but needs a lower angle insteadt of shooting down on the subject.
8 is the best of the bunch with the exception of the skin looking blown.

trying to put controversy aside here and sorry I just dont think I can...lol... some will think thats very disrespectful to be "using" someones grave to take those images. Personally I'd be upset to find someone with her butt on one of my friends or relatives graves.
however...looking at the art side of it..I really like the shots. It all seems to tie in and works real well with what your trying to portray. I really like #5. And #1...I like #1 cause she looks abit like shes hidding from something ...maybe the evil presence of the graveyard...plus I like the idea of not being able to read the lettering...to me gives some privacy to the persons grave. Im not to tickled about the ones where she is playing with her strap though. Just seems a bit tacky in a grave setting. I also like #7 but it needs to be lined up better. the tilt dont work with it...but I like the coloring of it.
for the most part...good job for what you were trying to get.

PP on 3, 5 and 7 seems to work well with the theme for me.

I kept thinking: "she looks familiar... she looks familiar...". Then it hit me... she kind of reminds me of Pauly Parrette, in the shots where her face is angled to the right. Overall, I like them... #1 has a kind of glamour magazine ad feel... but #5 is my favorite overall: it has a nice balance to it, and the slight shadowing that plays on her face works with her surrounding.

Yes she does look a lot like Pauly, good series, I would like to see the PP evened out so that each image' contrast and exposure are similier.

Controversial, hardly. Photographers shoot in grave yards all the time. Movies and TV shows too. Disrespectful, perhaps. Great looking model good styling. I would like to see you pay attention to your exposures though.

Nice try let's see what else you come up with.

Compare to what happen in this grave yard this photo shoot isn't disrespectful.
In day time, this private cemetery is a nice place, but at night time this abandoned cemetery is the repair for "Crack people" and "man on man pleasure adventure". we clean up the tomb before the shoot. In the #1, She's looking at 2 strange man coming in our direction from the woods, it was time for us to change location. Still, a very nice place...
I didn't know about Pauly Perrette, she really looks like her!

I find in many of the shots, especially number one, her bra/bustier is not doing its job. Her breasts don't look right. They are way to far apart, one is going east, the other west. They only look good when she is holding them together. I like the idea of the gothic glamour series though, and you did a good job. Just have her buy a better bra next time.

Even though I like goth, I agree its disrespectful to take sexual pics on somebodys resting place. I think grave yard photos are fine, half naked girls are fin, but combined it wrong.
Having said that #2 is th one I like of the series. And Sue is right about her breasts, get her to bring a push up. I think this could have been done a little better, maybe try to make these shots with out her sitting on the graves. Theres many elements in a grave yard that you could use to make gothic photos with her.

It's really good if you don't like those. this was the point, but not at this stage of the post-process, I'm surprise about it.
You will really don't like those when I will be done with the PP work :)

FYI, I will love to have a girl like that on my tomb! I'm sorry if a girl on a tomb may offend some of you ( I will add a warning in my next post). If that offend you, in real life, gay crack head have sex on those every night. The city plan to demolish this cemetery. Put that in perspective. I'm not a goth or something like that and I don't feel bad making art with those great tomb.

Her breasts looks really nice except on image 7. Something just looks unnatural. Otherwise I think it is an interesting shoot. I like the look on her face in image 1. Image 2 my fav.

I guess I would have to agree with you with having a hot half naked chick posing on my grave. Still I keep my opinions on those shots. However, I do agree with 1000arms. You could make your own tombs out of foam and they look just as real and you can customize them, then place them in any environment you like! And yes you are right, more sensual (except number 4) lol

We had a good time in this old cemetery, but she was afraid to sit on the ground ( too much beetles!). At first, I liked the Color processing of those, but I'm not sure now. Ghotic pin-up is the theme

Hey, I am usually over at the nightclub photo section of this site but I am really into this type of photography. In fact, I will be doing a shoot like this sometime this week.

With that being said, I like the model. The first, second and last are the best ones. To me, her outfit seems too loose and does not hold her breasts well. Something a little tighter on top would have helped.

As far as the "controversy" that some people on here have been saying, well, you have to realize that when dealing with things such as death, mortality and the graveyard and expressing your artistic views in these places can get people's panties in a bunch. I don't see anything wrong with this set as far as what the composition is all about. I wish that some hot girlie would sit on my grave and pose, you know?

Job well done my friend. Would like to see more of your work if you have anything more like this.

#4 is best, nice composition. Not a big fan of the muted colors or the Goth/Cemetery thing, but if it's what you like and/or what the client is willing to pay for...do it up!

Personally, I can see where the cemetery/grave thing would bother some, but it doesn't bother me.

I like #3 & #5. The PP is nice and I like the muted/darker colors.

The pictures don't offend me personally (I've seen things that transcend the boundaries of gore) but I think it's disrespectful. Nice pictures though :)

I like the series. I also chuckled at the dead guy's family comments. They are very similar to the comments I got when Sharon and I shot some cemetary nudes/glamour. Those always make me laugh.

i like the coloring and editing a lot.. i think the shots are really neat..

my only gripe.. is not you.. but more her.. in 1 her breast to our right is rippled.

and 7 her breasts just look really uneven, and are kind of a distraction to how pretty she is. and how great the photography is.

I REALLY like these, I just wish I had seen them the FIRST time around...guess I should have dug back into the POTN pages when I first joined....

I can definitely see where some that hold graves as sacred places would say its disrespectful, but personally I think its nothing more than a pile of dirt and a rotting carcass....Since mine isn't the "popular" opinion, I don't think I would do it personally, but I may have to add a clause in my will that if anyone ever wants to photograph a beautiful goth girl on my grave to go for it...:)
