Hello all,
I posted this originally on the G2 page because that is what I am using, but I'm not sure there is enough experience there to answer my question. So! I will post the same here:)
I have been using, with some success, the Linear Sharpening program created by Pekka (Thank you!). The process I have used is the workflow method in Mr. Cavanagh's assesment (Thank you also). My results have been too light and have needed additional corrections in PS. This in itself isn't a problem but I'm wondering if I could be assigning a profile to the photo or something to eliminate this "tweaking". I am also having trouble getting the finished product to come out as advertised (On the monitor) on my printer. In other words I love what I see on the monitor using the linear sharpening method but can't get the prints to turn out properly (Canon S900). When I use "traditional" methods of PS manitpulation the results are very close from monitor to printer. Thank you all for the great info in the past and in advance for your advice on this "problem".
