is there any way that i can apply auto levels to all the images without going thru them individually???

Sure .... (I say that assuming that you're using Photoshop ....)
Just create an action that calls the auto levels command, then use the Batch command to batch "auto level" an entire directory of images....

Autolevels will clip 5% from the black end AND 5% from the white end. Not an opinion, it's in their book.

You can change the clipping values by adjusting the values in the Options window accessible in the levels dialog.

If you have a series of pictures with the same lighting, you can create a levels adjustment layer for one and then copy that to any number of images you want. I found that helpful for a group of water foul pictures I was working on. It kept the surface of the water and the birds feathers looking the same throughout the series. That way your adjustment isn't an arbitrary percentage, but based on the actual results. These are three from the series:
