Recently purchased the Mark 2 and 24-70l and the 75-200 2.8l series lens. I am somwhat worried about scratching the lenses so I have been keeping a UV filter on all the time. My reading of the literature suggests that you cannot have the filter on and use the hood at the same time. I am somewhat new to this but most of the posts suggest that the hood should be left on these lenses all of the time. I was curious what most of the users are doing? Do you use the hood even with flash ect.? I am also having problems with the 550 flash producing dark photos. I understand that the exposure can be increased in the P mode. I have used the aperature setting but with the 24-70 lens it would seem you would have to have a tripod or increase the iso setting . Any recomendations would be greatly appreciated. By the way I purchased my mark 2 through ritz and only had to wait about 10 days but I guess I was lucky.
