This is the upper portion of Mitchell, Oregon - population 150 (on a good day). It is another image that lent it's self well to this effect.

Enjoy!

Very nice, looks like a train set :-) (without trains ;-) )

I didn't know Mitchell had an upper section - when I drove through the part off of the main road I thought "Wow - this is a tiny town, where do the people live?" But that upper section doesn't look as tiny.

There are those who feel they've had "out-of-body-experiences" - where they have looked at themselves from some fixed point beyond. But there seem to be few who claim to have had out of experience, experiences. Where they have looked at their place with an all-seing penetration - as if they could understand it all in a cinematic scope. You're approaching that here. This technique gives us the opportunity to model our place, culture, loves and hates from a third person perspective. A sort of prescient-view. You want to be in there... and you are. Want and reality mix. How intriguing.

Thanks for sharing Beau.

Excellent. It looks like a scene from some sci-fi movie. I really like the clarity and cleanness of the scene. All the trash that comes with people is invisible.

TedThose are some deep thoughts.

It never ceases to amaze me how viewing an image can ignite the imagination and cause revelations that often challenge our known perceptions of reality.

We can see beyond the colors and the media they are on, to find notions, ideas and even principals contained therein that were never part of the images original purpose or scope. To see past the simple imagery captured or created and find more. It is the 'more' that inspires us to look deeper and see if there are worlds yet discovered lurking within the photonic array that our eyes transmit to a waiting consciousness - and, more often then not, our sub-consciousness ...

PS: Lived in Lancaster for a couple years, back in the day. Used to love toobing on Pequae Creek.
