Please critique. (composition). Does it attract your attention? It is an experiment. I am still trying to develop an abstract eye.
Would you have done it differently (as far as colors?)

I like the image and the colours - the one thng which spoils the image is for me is the fact the the vase is leaning to the right whist the ribbon seems to be correct - you could try a slight rotation

I can't see the vase leaning to the right.... gotta keep in mind that this vase is not stright (the neck, or the body). Maybe just an impression because the neck opens up, and you can't see the left side because it is covered by the ribbon :?:
Thank you for the input, David !

I agree with David. Althought the vase may be straight it doesn't appear to be so. Perhaps it would be worth shooting with the vase at an angle just to make it look straight in the photo.
Nice colours though, and I like the ribbon too.

You guys are probably right.... There's one problem though. If I rotate the picture, the ribbon won't be straight any more

For what its worth, the vase looks pretty straight to me (although I've never been any good at straight lines  ). I like the idea, but there's something not right about the base of the vase. It looks too square for my taste.... but that's only my opinion.

Honestly, the vase looks straight to me when viewed in relation to the ribbon. Perhaps if you extended the right side of your canvas just a little,
the impression of leaning might go away.
You know what it is, the right side of the vase, where the neck flares
downward looks to be at odds with its left side counterpart. And the contents of the vase within the neck seem to be leaning right, which adds to the illusion.
Another problem is the left side of the neck's being obscured by the ribbon, so you can't really grab a sense of symetry here. For all I know, the thing might darn well be leaning.

I like the blue tone in the picture (blue is my favorite color), but it honestly doesn't do much for me otherwise in terms of subject and content. Although I know you are going for "abstract", I just don't get it. Would you hang this on a wall? Sorry.
