just thought I'd say hi :D
just got my first SLR (yesturday).....so exciting, but bewildering as well - and very different from my old Sony 717. Am on holiday so have spent a lot of the day playing.......it's been raining here so couldn't go outdoors much. The results are still a little ho-hum, the 717 is a lot less sensitive to the shaky hand sydrome - next purchase will need to be a tripod.
One of the things that's thrown me is the settings are so very different.....with the 717 any pic taken at over 100 ISO had unacceptable noise, aperature only goes up to F8 and max shutter speed is 1/1000.......this is going to take some learning ....would appreciate all the help I can get.
