I was just wondering if anyone knows of a way to produce 'contact' (is that what they are called) through PS or Thumbsplus.

ThumbsPlus- From the menu; Image, Contact Sheets and then pick the items to customize your format needs. (Hot Key Ctrl+Shift+F9 )

With PSCS, from the dropdown menu, select "File" | "Automate" | "Contact Sheet II...".
