I took the 1Dmk2 out yesterday. My 20D died at the last Rally, so I
picked up a used mk2. I'm still getting use to it. It's a similar to the
1D, but the results are different. I went out to the Berkeley Aquatic
Park with a few friends and took some shots the Sigma 800 f/5.6.

Wow George. You disappear then come back with a new camera and great images with it. Looks like in #4 he's squeezing the stuff out of him before gulping it down. :)

Thanks Mitch. The Great Egret "played" with this fish for a while. Kept picking it
up, munching, then dropping it. It finally got it down.

Like I said the 20D died last week, so I had to get a replacement before the next
race. I'll send the 20D in to get fixed since it's still my favorite "bird" camera.

Thanks Tyger. The Snowy has a lot more expressions then the Greats. They definitely put
on a more lively show.

Thanks Karen. Me too. I'll have to sell a few lenses and one of the other cameras
to "afford" it.

Nice action series here. Good attention to whites and nice detail. Good work.

Thanks Cooper. That's one of the first things I have to work out with a new camera,
is how it handles the whites. Now I have to work on the sharpness.

Thanks Joel,

The Egrets seem to be have good success out there yesterday. Saw the Great Egret
get several fish.

Thanks Lethargic1.

LOL George, I really like the last two shots. #7 is funny. I didn't get great poses like you got. You seem to have way better timing or more buffer because I kept shooting and camera would stop because of the buffer and I missed the fish going down the throat. :) Great times George. I enjoyed it. Thanks for inviting us out.

Thanks Adam. Must be timing, since I was short on flash memory and was saving my shots :).

Here's a couple more from a few minutes later:
