Anyone in the UK will know that Gloucester has been severely hit by flooding from the River Severn. This was the scene at Gloucester City football club at dinnertime.

God help us :(

Is it 14 days now? Jeez, I stink as it is and it's only one day!

Do they have a waterpolo team?

Seriously, having lived in the UK I cannot imagine what it would be like at the moment. I remember receiving a letter about the Thames flooding when I lived in London but I never thought this would happen.

Like Neil_r, good luck to you all.

I noticed on picture 2 there are 2 specks in the sky (sort of to the left) that might be sensor dust, or it could the environment that you were shooting in - - dunno - might want to check it out

Hands up, I have to agree that there are people who are suffering more due to their homes being flooded although I'd wager that proportionally few have been flooded and those that have are those that usually do. The whole area though has been severely afffected by the contamination to the water supplies and the lack of tap water. I do wonder if there is any mineral water available to buy in supermarkets around the UK because we have lorry load after lorry load of it being given away in organised car parks around the City. I must admit it's nice to stop off on the way home from work and have a soldier or a policeman open my passenger door and stick a 12x 1.5l box of volvic water on my seat :)

As for the football ground, well, hopefully we won't be going back and we're currently exploring avenue's towards getting a new ground. Wish us luck!!!

You say that but it's all proportional. Cos it's not big buisness (as you say) should we just put a padlock on the gate and say "sorry, we're closed"?

Those who have not been through a natural disaster [hurricane, tornado, flood, earthquake, fire, pestilence and disease] cannot imagine the feelings of helplessness that may totally overwhelm people as they are also physically overwhelmed by the events. There is no way to be prepared for such occurrences and one generally simply suffers through them and after them. Keep us apprised.
