These were taken at a Metra Rail underpass in Chicago's North side...

Thanks all! I really didn't tweak the saturation that much, just a touch along with an exposure correction. The colors are really vibrant on both sides of the street under this viaduct.

Wondered how these would look in B&W...so I took a quick stab. Any thoughts?

Hope you don't mind. :)

Hope you don't mind. :) Not at all. They actually look pretty good, though they lose a little contrast... Where are ya at that you're familiar with the Lunt underpass?

Great shots, like the colors. The B&W is also nice, but a complete different feeling to the pics.

The first one for me... looks great, especially the vibrant colours.

Something seems lost after that in the BW.

Nice shots Dilorenzo! I personally like the 2nd shot because there is so much to look at. The first is ok but all I see is a metal beam. Although if I look at it again, I can see why you took this shot because of it's texture. Good job!

Great pictures. #1 is my favorite. The B&W don't do it for me at all - it subverts the effect of the graffiti - but it does make the beam look really cool in #1.

Thank you for all the kind comments...and I have to agree that they need to be in color to truly appreciate them.
