Challenge #81 - Black and White

This week I thought that black and white would be an interesting topic. Easy to learn and difficult to master. Any subject matter is okay but with an emphasis towards tones and shades of grey.

Thanks to the many entrants, about 20 or so. The standard was quite high and made it tough to pick finalists. Honourable mentions go to stncid, Edd S, dexdex, BBoi, cmcleod69, jeece & whuband.

First: BoSmith, looks like it could be a catalogue shot, clean lines. Quite a striking image.

Second: teekay, great clouds. I skimmed over this at first but grew to like it more.

Third: ekt, again simple but striking image.

To everyone who posted well done to all of you I hope not to offend or discourage anyone. Each image had it's own merit. I didn't realise how much pressure is on the judge until now.

To submit, click "Post Reply" and put your Photo Name in the Subject Line. Don't forget your Camera Model.

Post until Monday noon GMT, July 30th 2007

Thread closing now. Thanks for all of the entries, I was unsure about the suitability of the topic to begin with. Tough job this one.
